West Mermis Scholarship - Construction Law oof the Houston Bar Assosciation

The Construction Law Section of the Houston Bar Association is committed to recognizing and supporting deserving law students who have shown outstanding success in the area of construction law at each of the law schools in the City of Houston.
This year the Board of the Construction Law Section will award the sum of $1,000.00 to a student selected by South Texas College of Law. This award is to be made without reference to any existing financial aid or need but will be awarded as an outright gift. The deadline for submission of the name to me is Wednesday, April3, 2024.
We will make this distribution to your school during the month of May to the student directly via the Houston Bar Association. When providing us with the student’s name, please also provide their contact information.
The Board would like for you to seek candidates who fulfill the following criteria:
A student enrolled in or having completed classes in or involving Construction Law;
A student who has shown exemplary success in Construction Law either through superior grades, publication, internships, or clerkships; and
A student who has evidenced a strong interest in pursuing a career in the practice of Construction Law.
The Board of the Construction Law Section will invite the recipient to our monthly meeting on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 to be recognized.
